The Problem
A refreshed visual identity was needed to help ACIL Allen modernise its brand while respecting its heritage as one of Australia’s leading independent economics, policy, and strategy consultancies. The identity needed to feel polished, credible, and reflective of the team’s thorough, evidence-led approach.

Rationale
I was involved in developing a new visual identity for ACIL Allen, informed by in-depth brand research, workshops, and strategic foundations. The identity centres on the use of an underscore, inspired by the act of underlining key information, to reflect the team’s careful, considered, and thorough way of working. This device helped create a distinctive and flexible brand system that could carry across communications while reinforcing ACIL Allen’s expertise and attention to detail. The refreshed identity also paid homage to the consultancy’s heritage, while giving the brand a more contemporary, polished, and relevant presence.
