The Problem
A bold new identity was needed to help Social Traders bring their pioneering energy and role as a national connector to life. The refreshed brand was designed to feel confident, human, and adaptable across a wide range of touchpoints.

Rationale

I was involved in developing a refreshed brand identity for Social Traders that captured the organisation’s pioneering energy and its unique position as a connector between business, social enterprise, and government. The brandmark was designed to join at the corners, symbolising the way Social Traders brings different sectors together to create more inclusive and equitable procurement outcomes. Rounded forms were used to soften the identity and create a more human, approachable feel, while also referencing speech bubbles to represent conversation, advocacy, and meaningful interaction. The result is a flexible visual system that feels confident, contemporary, and aligned with Social Traders’ mission to make buying from social enterprise the norm.
